Your First Visit to Our Santa Cruz Practice
New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
Make Yourself at Home
You’ll find plenty of convenient parking in our lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and you may relax for a few minutes in our comfortable reception area.
If you’ve already completed your admitting paperwork, great! If not, we’ll ask you to fill out an intake form and to provide us with insurance information, if any. You’ll then meet Dr. Stewart to discuss your history and health goals, and to evaluate your condition and address any other concerns you may have as well. Prior to your visit, you may find it useful to view a four-minute video on this site. It supplies helpful answers to the most frequently asked questions that new patients have. You’ll find the “Getting Started Video” link on the left side of the “About Us” page.
We Explain Everything First
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify where we need to work. After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health.
If we determine that you are likely to benefit from chiropractic care, we can usually get started right away. In more complex cases we may need to order x-rays or other tests to more clearly appreciate the nature of your condition. Either way, your well-being is our first concern. We strive to communicate effectively, so you can more fully participate in your care. You are a partner and the most important member of this team!
If you can, wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment. For your first visit, please plan your time to allow about an hour in our office.
We look forward to meeting you! Give Stewart Chiropractic a call so we can help you take the first steps towards health.
